On kicks and flicks...
On toes and shins...
I think the word flick might be bad and misleading. it tends to suggest that not enough power is delivered. (Remember the butterfly, flicking kicks of some classical martial arts?)
I worry that the when the groin is hit, the person reflexively shuts his knees and may catch the kick. I have seen this in real life and also in the "bullet man suit training." The bullet students tend to want to hit the bullet man as hard as they can and inocently kick and PLANT the shin into the groin. Leaving it up there too long. THIS is the problem- leaving it to long, not flicking...
The cop time, the guy caught the cops leg and fell, taking the cop with him.
This inspired me to create a combat scenario on this. Then I saw kicks caught in the suit-training years later.
So, flick is a bad word in this case. If you kick with your shin, just worry about getting that leg caught in his ever-so-natural natural response.
