The police will protect Daley, bit you. It is not the job of the police to protect you, it is their job to protect the rights of the State ( read your State's constitution) I have used a firearm in the defense of my family. My wife andmyself were out taking a walk one evening with our 6 pound dog, and I had noticed that the same car had driven past us 3 times. As we continued walking, i noticed that the car was coming down the street from in front of us. I felt that this was just not Kosher, and told my wife to take cover behind a truck in a driveway. As we got behind the truck, the car stopped and the person in the back seat pointed a handgun at us. I pulled my 45 commander from my fanny pack ( I know you guys love that) and blew the rear window out of the car. It was the only shot I had at them due to the tight angle. The car immediately left and we headed directly home. I called the police and they were at my home in a few minutes and filed a report. They arrested the individuals in the car later that evening, and all 3 had weapons related charges against them and 2 were curently on parole. None of them over the age of 23. The one who wasn't on parole is the one who waived the gun, which he had stolen in a home burglary earlier that day, but only had 2 rounds in the clip. I truly believe that the outcome would have been drastically different, had I not had a handgun.
All three individuals are currently serving long prison terms. The police told all three that they were all lucky to be alive as I had every right here in the great State of Texas to shoot and kill all of them in defense of my family and myself. No charges were filed against me and they never even took possession of 45. In NY or Chicago, that little prick could have shot both myself and my wife, or who knows what. Any gun, even a Glock was the deciding factor.
