As far as I'm aware ' Kubotan ' are not illgal in the U.K. They are not listed under the Offensive Weapon's Act. However all baton's, straight, ASP, Side-Handled are. Hollow Kubotan's are illgal.

Not worth the risk carrying one here ( U.K ), you would be better off with a metal pen, a couple of ball points or a marker.

  (1) The intentional concealment of any firearm, or other
   instrumentality customarily used or intended for probable
   
use as a dangerous weapon, on one's person;        The law here is vague describing blade length, as far as carrying anything , the key word is concealed. This goes with what i heard at a police supply store. I can carry an expandable baton on my belt as long as its visable. Which makes a viable addition to my stick training . I have been leaning toward the stick rather than the knife as a self defense option. but still carry one.   ( appologies for the spacing)
