Hikuta- Egyptain Commando Martial Art?
« on: May 31, 2006, 07:33:59 AM »

Anyone hear much about this?

"Hikuta is an ancient Egyptian martial art still used today. The basis for Hikuta is the ancient art of Kuta. Today Hikuta is used for very modern reasons, used mostly by law enforcement and military ( especially commando type units). Added to Kuta has been several Ju Jitsu type systems as well as modern tactical knowledge, to form Hikuta.

Kuta was initially developed by the bodyguards of the ancient Pharoahs in Egypt as the most efficient and effective way to defend their king. Kuta remained top secret amongst the Asian rulers for over a thousand years until military soldiers found out the secrets. Today Kuta is the basis for the art of Hikuta.

Hikuta and Kuta are characterized by relaxed (even with the actual striking areas), natural, very fast, and very powerful movements and can be learned very quickly.
The "startle" reflex is also very important and is trained to mesh with the other elements of the system."

Well Hock, I guess you were right about some tactics being on Pyramids.

The one thing these Hikuta folks are missing is that Egyptian culture comes from space aliens coming through a Star Gate and that their gods were really masks that the warriors wore.  This will all become clear when the Raelians finally build their alien embassy and we can talk with the aliens directly. ;D

If it is Egyptian commando related  I'd run like buggery from it.  They're the ass-hats that slaughtered all the innocents when they tried to take down the hijacked plane.  They were offered assistance by the pros (SAS et al) but no thanks, you infidels have no special claim to HRU skills and away they went

HIJACKING TOLL CLIMBS TO 60; TACTICS OF EGYPTIAN TROOPS IN ASSAULT ARE QUESTIONED
By E. J. DIONNE JR., SPECIAL TO THE NEW YORK TIMES
The death toll in the hijacking of an Egyptian airliner rose to 60 today as passengers and others questioned the way in which Egyptian commandos had carried out an armed rescue attempt. The Maltese Government said that of the 60 who were killed, 57 had died in the storming of the Egyptair Boeing 737 on the tarmac here on Sunday night. Officials said that of the 98 people now thought to have been on the plane when it was hijacked on Saturday, only 38 survived. Hijacker Is in Hospital At the same time, the Maltese Government announced that one hijacker had survived the assault and was being treated in a hospital, where he was reported to be unconscious. A Government spokesman, saying it was unclear whether the man would survive, said no decision had been made on a trial or extradition.

I wonder if they include this debacle in their marketing material. ???

I was in the Army when that rescue attempt happened, the wise crack for the nexst several months was "What's worse than being taken hostage by Arab terrorists?? Being rescued by Egyptian commandos."

When I first saw that definition I posted in the beginning? It was clean of all names, but now, yes, I do remember the names involved.

And yes, it smelled of all the gimmicks and fast talk back then. Late 90s? Krav era? Like that.

You can really tell after awhile a certain level of packed bullshot in a system's or a person's ad marketing. There is a level of sophistication in the ads and marketing that scream "small mind-small-town," or "big league" mind.

Oh well,
Hock

But, however there are lots of ancient Egyptian drawings on all kinds of striking, kicking and grappling.

The videos aren't bad.  The beginners look like beginners- bad balance, poor footwork and poor coordination.  The demo at the expo looks like a fairly experienced person dealing with a choreographed attack.  Certainly nothing secret or unique about it, but it didn't look ridiculous either.
