Darrens blades are great!  I highly recomend them especially if you are an instructor, new people tend to get excited and slash a little hard till they learn control.  They are also awesome to put washable paint on the blade and spar with.

Here's a CUSTOM that Darren made for me after taking a drawing at a seminar:

Feels very good in the hand.

I've actually been thinking about making my own.

Looks like these knives are made of a very close link polyethelene foam. Something you could cut on a bandsaw and then use the Dremel with a flapwheel to round the edges.

What do you guys think?

I made my own rubber knives out of 1" thick industrial gasket material.  Based on the feel, I think that is what most rubber knives are made of.  I just went down to Albuquerque Valve and Gasket and bought sheet of 1" thick gasket material for about 5" a square foot.  You can make 6 rubber knives out of that.  Cut them with a jigsaw/bandsaw and use a belt sander to smooth off the edges.  I will bring some to the Dallas knife seminar so you can see them.  I used the aluminum SFC training knife as the model.

Hello all, Darren Here.  Personal issues forced me to step back from the website sales.
Those issues have been resolved and I should have the website back up soon and will advertise the address on Hocks site. Thank you for your interest.

Darren's blades are the bomb!  Saved me from higher levels of pain on the videos and the seminars.  Thank God for Darren's ingenuity.  They last forever too.  I've had mine for over 4 years.  Get you some!
