Hi Shane,

yes I've been taking the animal pak for two months now and can really feel a difference in energy.

You'll read many books and articles stating that all these super-vitamins are a waste of money and that you can take all these elements from normal food.

I agree...but as a cop I just don't have the time for regular meals...so animal pak really helps me in getting all the minerals and vitamins that I'm missing from not having constant and normal meals.

I immediately felt the benefits after the first day of taking animal pak. I felt invigorated and found it much easier to fall asleep.

Take it I reccomend it.

I think Joe Hubbard has been taking it also and he had some positive points about it too.

Ciao,

Ed

Yes, Ed turned me on to this wonderful product about a month ago.  With the schedule I have- I wake up at 3:30am and get home at 8pm.  On my days off I am teaching.  Taking good multi vitamin supplements are a must.  These articles that say you can get all your daily requirements from food alone are outdated.  The way they grow food now at accelerated rates for higher sales deplete the vitamin and minerals in those foods.  Combine that with insane schedules and you are on a fast track for illness.  Animal Pack is the best I’ve tried.  The only downside is the Radiation Orange from your urine.

Ciao

Where can you purchase Animal Pac?  I looked on-line and on different bodybuilding websites showed it as a powder.  Anything that can assist me while working different shifts is a plus.

Try your local GNC or other health food stores.  I used animal pac once but I had to stop taking them.  The pills are huge and give off a horrible smell.  Even when I ate a large breakfast I had to fight to keep them down.  I would still be using it if I could get around those problems.  I am currently using GNC's Mega Men.

I was told in a personal trainer certification once that in order to eat all of your required minerals and vitamins, you would have to take in over 15,000 calories.  I don't know how accurate that is, but I'm sure you would have to eat more than the 2,000 that is recommended.  I too take the Mega-Man vitamins, as these were recommended in that same class as one of only two vitamins on the market that are pharmaceutical grade.  In other words, they are time release, and aren't immediately disposed of.  I like the Mega-Man, they aren't quite horse pills, like the Animal Pacs, but they are high quality.

Thank you.  I too use GNC's Mega Man.  I was just wondering if this was a better product.

Well, I started on them  Saturday. 11 big damn pills is alot to take. It took me about 6 minutes and half a gallon of water to down them.  I hope I can get a little better at it over the next few days.

P.S. Joe the radiation orange piss kind of freaked me out. LOL. But I see what you mean now.  :)

Carefull guys,  :)
Give at least one day a week break or drink lots of water daily..
Any organ that is constantly processing is in danger over working..
When it over works its in danger of failure eventually..
Of course this would have to go on for a long time...

Kidney and Liver are processing constantly..Hence the Orange color Urine..
While your new to it now....
You dont ever want to over work one single organ...

Kidney and Liver Damage - This remains one of the legitimate potential dangers although its risks are often misinterpreted and overstated.
So this my personal advice to accompany animal pak..

Drink lots of water to Flush and clear things out... Water will flush you out and balance you.
Try to also eat some asparagus..
Also drink cranberry Juice.
All of these will asist your body...in cleaning you out after all nutrients were absorbed properly..
Sometimes you need to flush your system so it can go back on  track.
You dont want to over work with constant processing..

Thanks
Mario

I think I'm gonna have to disagree with you, Mario. Your pee is orange or yellow after taking just about any vitamins. It's because your body wasn't able to absorb all of the nutrients in the pill.

Taking a vitamin is not going to result in kidney failure...period. And if you truly wanted to stop constant processing, you wouldn't drink any water at all. That's what your kidneys do. They filter the blood. More water...more filtering.

Vitamins are not going to cause problems, unless you are alergic to an ingredient.

I dont want you to agree with me Mill,
I just want you to consider... I dont want any body to stop on my account. Just keep an open mind. Im not trying to disway or discourage. Just be conciously aware of how your body reacts to them. Most of all, dont over do it..

An over dose of vitamins actually means intake of those nutrients more than what you need. Vitamins and minerals are needed for your growth and also for the treatment of certain diseases. But the need of these vitamins for your body is not unlimited. There is a certain amount of those nutrients that your body requires. It is necessary to fulfill that required amount. But if you exceed the limit, you will be harming yourself. Thats all Im saying..If you exceed then organs could get over worked. So I didnt make my previous point clear, my fault..

Vitamin C was believed to be a safe vitamin that is not dangerous when taken as over dose. But recently researches have shown that too much intake of vitamin C can lead to develop diarrhea.  :o

On the other hand you need just a little amount of vitamin B6. The required amount is only one or two milligrams per day. So you need to take only one tablet in two days. If you take greater amount of vitamin B6, it may cause you great harms like, sensory control loss and motor control loss.

Again, the adequate amount of vitamin B6 that your body needs is one hundred to three hundred milligrams per day. If the amount is increased in your body the outcome may be very dangerous. An over dose of this vitamin can cause various bad effects such as blood clot, fatigue and other reproductive disorders.

If you do not know the consequences of over doses of vitamin A and vitamin D and intake these two vitamins as you do in case of vitamin C, you are doing another great mistake. Excessive amount of vitamin C can be passed through the kidneys. But the excessive amount of vitamins A and D remain stored in your body. It is generally stored in the liver and also in the fat. And this can cause dangerous results such as making your skin dry and itchy, fatigue and also cirrhosis of the liver.

Vitamin considerations should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis because one person may have high iron levels and should not be taking supplements containing iron, while another person with kidney stones caused by calcium would not want to take a supplement with calcium. Understand my point?

"Many supplements out there don't go through the process of being tested because it is expensive,"  and with these vitamins, you don't know if you are getting what they say and you don't know if you are able to absorb it in the base they put it in."

Just  be careful before taking mega doses of vitamins and also support for a general awareness relating to the growing problem of consuming extra doses of medicines specially the high power mega-vitamins.

My bottom line:

If you have an ailment of some kind perhaps Kidney stones, you could be adding to a problem that you did not know it was there! What is healthy in over dose or high doses can be toxic for the Kidneys..
The kidney is filter and with increased filtration it will work more than it should.

Just watch and regulate, be carefull and pay attention to how your body reacts..

There are many misconceptions about sport supplementation and the general use of vitamins.  A lot of information is actually disinformation fed to us by “Big Pharma”, who if they had their way they would ban every vitamin and amino acid and then only allow them to be available by prescription and produced only by the major pharmaceutical companies.

That said, anybody who is taking supplements regularly should every six months or so take a month’s course of Milk Thistle or some kind of a “liver friendly” blend.

Ciao

Joe

PS Some time ago there was information leaked to the press that Vitamin C causes cancer.  Vitamin C is one of the best kept secrets in the health industry world.  I have always taken large doses of C and never had anything but positive effects!
