In the early days of Japanese martial arts in the US, the words "Judo" and "Jujutsu" were used interchangably, so maybe it was the same way in Brazil.

I saw the show. There was some interesting stuff, but not terribly scientific for reasons previously mentioned in other posts. The ninjitsu stuff was a bit much, and I agree that the unfounded bias was apparent. All in all it was entertaining, but not what I would call accurate.
