Is rangi still around? WW
Sadly Ranghi passed away in 1996, far too young. He is sadly missed, one of those larger than life characters. He had a good name in the stunt man game here as well as providing security on film sets and for stars. Perry

Interesting admissions by Moni Aizik to his instructors in a conference call found on the following site:
http://commandokravmaga.com.au/forum/index.php?topic=131.0

"1. During the last 2 years I have watched you lie to others and me about your history, the origins of CKM and its relation to the IDF.

When I first met you in October of 2007 you made it very clear (crystal clear) in your lecture on the History & Philosophy of CKM that:
1.) You were asked by the IDF to improve/develop a system of hand-to-hand combat specifically for Special Forces of the IDF
2.) That CKM was the system used by elite commando units in the IDF, thus the name Commando Krav Maga.
3.) And, that you traveled routinely to Israel to train the IDF..

I have also heard you repeat these claims at a number of other CKM instructor courses; however, during the conference call (Sunday 7, 2010) with the elite instructor team you made it clear that:
1.) It was just the guys in your unit and you that started experimenting with the traditional Krav Maga techniques, and that you were not officially asked to overhaul the Krav Maga system, but that this was something you guys did on your own.
2.) That this system you and your comrades developed was something just your unit did and not a standard for the IDF or other Special Forces units in the IDF
3.) And finally that you have not traveled to Israel in an official capacity to train the IDF for the last 12 years."

"Note, you made it clear on the conference call that you only met Imi once and that he disapproved of your improvements. You said, “We agreed to disagree.”

I guess moni did not get Jim Wagner's notes on when confronted with the truth, even your own words, deny, deny, deny and then rewrite.
LOL

They are all coming apart.

Wow, I just read that thread by one of Moni's instructors who has just resigned.  It looks like Moni is in deep sh+t.

And -as i have said before-if one studies KM and want to instruct in the philosophy of KM just say you teach elements of KM-dont get envolved in the politics of a individual association/federaton etc etc-

Just for the heck of it i called calif to talk to a particular group=they said they would ge back to me-that was last week- no call yet-I also e  mailed them to get a response- no response as of yet-

its a joke---a member of that group came to clarksville and i met them- i daid lets work out and compare tactics-that was three weeks ago-they will not do it-there is always a excuse- ::) ::)

and at the same time the chief instructors really believe in their philosophy and abide by it-so screw um- i  just keep trucking along with the wolf clan and have fun in life and try to
teach my students to be able to defend them selves- "because you never know"
(thats my new logo- ;D ;D

thats my stor and i am sticking to it-WW

"if one studies KM and want to instruct in the philosophy of KM just say you teach elements of KM"

That could end up getting you into trouble because that statement in and of itself is very subjective.  There is also the idea of being certified to teach KM- not a made up personal expression of KM.  JKD has suffered from this for years.  Even if you just say CQC, people are going to want to know where you learned it from, was it a credible source and what level you reached.

No offence intended, but this vague interpretation in instructor development is part of the bigger problem that both Moni and JW are facing.

There are some that say Krav Maga is generic like Karate, but there still needs to be some credible lineage back to that Karate system or it lacks merit.

You see, once you say I teach elements of Krav Maga you have established the noun.  Why don't you just say I teach elements?  The reason is that people would say, "Elements of what?"  Claiming the "what" when you have no credentials is foolhardy.
