Army shuns system to combat RPGs apparently the Israelis have a subsystem for attachment to vehicles with over a 90% effectiveness rating according to our own in house U. S. Stryker program officials but the pencils pushers at "gon" nixed it.

I believe OFT? ran a test on the system and said it performed better than 90 percent, more like 98 percent.

It is a shame that lives are worth less than a contract for the army to develop its own system.

Ratheon, the US ARMY developer, will not be ready with a system until 2011,what a joke,so men and women of the US Military will die because of US/Army pride and the profit potential possible down the road.

It is a shame that there is this type of dragging the feet over systems that can preserve the lives of our men and women fighting the bad guys over there. So maybe we need to fight the bad guys over here who occupy seats of power. Quite frankly I am tired of sitting by while these people drag there feet.
How many of you are a member of a political party and/or orgainizations that will represent your interest to your representatives?
Tip O'neil made a statement that I subscribe to, and that was, "all politics is local." At least it should be. We can complain all we want on this forum our wherever, but if this is as far as it gets, the we are screwed.
Recently, I pulled the democratic and republican platform off the net. I am rejoining the rep party again. It is far from perfect, but nothing here is. But! i want to effect change with vigor.
Also, joined an enviromentalist group...
Am I confused ???

Although I belong to several environmentalist groups I also give to the NRA.  And I believe veteran's groups I belong to are only good for one thing that is holding politicians feet to the fire.  As for politicians and politics if their mouth is open, their lieing.  I'm done with it.

:( A sad testimonial, indeed, another story of bureaucrats killing our soldiers with their foot-dragging. Still going on, after all these years. a different war from the one I was in, but the same-ol', same-ol' stil going on.
