If man is causing global warming with auto's and the use of fossil fuels, what caused the Ice Age to Melt away ???
The Sahara used to be Lush with vegetation, yet has been a Desert long before cars and fossil fuel ??
yes,global warming is man made,lol.
Lucky to have global warming or the wind chill where I live would be minus 20 instaed of minus 5,lol

The most redundant of terms. The global climate has been changing since it first formed.  :P

Pay close attention to this map! Its a mere 3 meter water rise!
Can you see Louisiana? Do you see some damn irony there? Its quite obvious that the wild weather we are having is patternistic and caused by us!

Hmmm we would be ignorant to beleive that it couldnt happen.

It seems like when people talked about it before, every one doubted it.
Now when science is correct? Suddenly it becomes a problem?
Much like putting a stop light at intersection after there has been 20 car crashes?

It is our fault..
But the bigger question is what are we going to do about it?

Miami will be under water!

Nobody really cares about New Orleans anyway. Read Uncle Nicky's post in regards tto 40 plus years of handouts etc. New Orleans is already under water, and rise in ocean levels would just make the water deeper and I still wouldn't care. If you want to live in a hole below sea level than eventually at some point it is going to fill up with water.
As for global warming, did everybody forget about the global cooling scare of the 70's? Whatbout the 12 feet of snow that people just got pounded up their ass in Oswego and Watertown at the east end of lake Ontario? I'll bet they would welcome global warming, seeing as it's going to take till June to melt all of that crap. And have all of our dear readers forgotten the blizzard of 77 in New York?
30 years ago, when i was just starting to develope my warm and caring personality, I was a track man for Corail in Buffalo. I remember getting to work at 7 am Friday morning and not leaving till 10 days later.
Had so much friggin snow that they filled up open rail cars and shipped it south. Niagara Falls froze solid.
So let me narrow it down for all of you ( except a selected few who already have it figured out), nobody cares about New Orleans, Miami or any other dump below sea level. IMHO

I guess if man lived during the times of the continents shifting apart it would have been his fault also.
We used to sacrafice people to the Gods so we could have good crops and nice weather

Were there Global warming/Global Climate changes that caused water to encroach on land masses prior to cars and Fossil fuel use?
Yes

What happened to the City of Atlantis?

In 1995 they discovered a Lost city/cities,311 miles of pyramids  that predate Egypt, off Yonaqusi Island off Okinawa,no one knew of it,so I expect it became covered by water, pre fossil fuel use,Global warming? or continued changes in the earth since its creation/formation.

I wonder how water levels are increasing along coast lines and oceans and yet other water levels are decreasing?

Is it truely Global warming or is the Earth experiencing more heat due to more solar flares, which effect earths temperature and water changes,as does the moon.

When the climate changes effect the earth, the earth corrects them, with winds, storms, rain, snow, cold ,heat, volcanoes,Tidal waves, earth quakes.

The biggest effect on Climate change and the so called Green House effect is WATER,H2O,so lets ban water use, lol.

What can we do?
Stop cutting down the trees and forests, reduce the human population, find fuel alternatives,as we will not have the resource for eternity, join Al Gore and lets save the polar Bears and Seals, lol.

Some good info on global warming that every one should take into consideration before throwing their money or support behind the cause. Also check out Michael Crichton's State of Fear; while the narrative isn't nearly his best it does serve as a delivery platform for some useful info.

We haven't come close to accurately predicting a five day forecast and some one is going to try and tell me they can conclusively blame negative weather phenomena on specific human actions? Come on! We don't have the computer technology to actually calculate anything regarding a "global climate" and the computers we do have that come close are being used to simulate protein folding.

People assume that since we've made these fantastic scientific leaps in physics, chemistry and to a certain extent biology that it must be true for geology and earth sciences. Not true! What was the last great earth science discovery? Plate tectonics! We still have a long way to go in understanding our planet. i am not saying we aren't impacting our planet, it would be impossible not to, but I am saying we can not at this point actually KNOW what our impact is or what the results of that impact will be, or whether or not we can do anything about it (all human attempts to "help"the earth usually end up causing more problems).

Let's stop wasting time and money on this and put it towards education where it's sorely needed.

I remember in the seventies being told that we were going into another ice age.  There was tons of evidence to support it...colder than normal winters and evidence of animals that burrow doing so deeper than ever before.  We were all doomed according to all the experts.

Now it's global warming according to all the new evidence.

Uncle Nicky,
Part of your statement still holds true today in regards to "burrowing " deeper. More and more liberals are shoving their heads farther up their own ass every single year. Al Gore has already reached his limit, and now he and his buddies wants to use your's and everybody else's ass to shove their ideas into.
I for one, would like them to leave my ass alone. I'm sure if we could get Bri to drop the peanut butter and get off the fence post, that he would lend his liberal butt to the cause.

If we dont help the planet there wont be much of a future to educate? Granted its not an emergency but we need to do something. Some action is better than no action dont you think?
We could allocate more money to education. But we cant burry our heads and expect the problems to just go away.

We have tons of pollution going into the air and water.
Everything from medical waste to garbage with no place to burry it! Put fossil fuels in there too!
People want to just ignore it and laugh at the possibility. What if we do ignore it? Will it make the future better?

You cant tell me that our exhausts from our cars does not affect the atmosphere. If you think that your either burrying your head in the sand from the problem or just dont give a damn because you wont be here any how. Most people say that.

"I wont be here any way. So why give a shit"?
Its a selfish point of view.
I have a nephew and I would like the world to be healthier place.
Its really negative to say "Who cares I wont be here"!

Scientists are not dumb smucks they have degrees and put alot of time and energy into the research. Hock basis his research off of medical scientists, why would this knowledge be any less credible?
We would be riduclous to think that we dont affect the planet with our actions.

Some one call arnold and get the corn in the face gun!

I think it only makes sense to keep things clean and clean up, and in that sense I am a environmentalist. 100%.
It bothers me to see trees cut down for every new housing addition. I'd make laws to leave every tree possible. Hell, the houses would sell better surrounded by trees.

But, when dirty water hits the Amazon River, the eco-system cleans it by about have way down the river. When dirty exhaust hits the air, the eco sysyem of the air may well clean it up too. It has, but that is no excuse to make crap that makes crap. When the Amazon Jungle gets cut down yearly? The Forests in Germany and Euorpe seem to expand. Yes. The eco-system.

They scared the bejesus out of us with the great opening in the ozone layer 15 or so years ago, but you know...somehow...the eco system closed it up.

I am for making things cleaner all the time? Sure. Do I believe that scientists are for cleaning up also? Sure.

But, Al Gore had his whole political life to make these changes. He was even vice president. He is fucking dumb-ass, goon idiot. Don't get me started on that Frankenstein.  Now, he shakes his finger at George Bush for killing the world. If we leave ourselves to his radical, "ten years to live " claim, he and his people, will have us all riding horses again. Then the PETA people will complain and they will have horses riding us.

Biggest pollutors as investigated by the UN?
A zillion wood stoves in Asia and Africa. Not your Chevy.
Flatulance of animals. Not your Dodge.
New industrial countries like China.

Always make cool stuff cleaner. Always clean up. But, scientists have agendas and huge grants. Many scientists disagree and say the Earth changes from hot to cold and back. El Nino is brewing now in the Pacific, altering things. Most journalists became journalists to save the world. They pick their "movement" sides and pick their scientists to advertise and promote.

Scientists can surely say the Earth's temp is changing...up and down and down and up.

Al Gore needs a donkey to ride, not his "fossil-fuel-fingerprint," super jets....that worthless, hypocitical, half-baked, shallow, cardboard.....don't get me started on Gore. He shows up at events in a small hybird car, yet? His whole entrouge/staff then follow him in gas-guzzling limos! And that down-line Kennedy (Robert-Junior?) that screamns for the environment, yet he and his fought against the proposed windmills in his backyard bay because they "looked bad," especially when he jets over them in his corporate jet.

Cranky Donkeys for them all.
Hock

(remember only Rosie O'Donnel's bodyguards can carry guns, not the rest of the world.)

(and...funny thing? Tom "Arnold" Barnhart is an environmental engineer -  has a masters degree in it from college - and worked in that capacity for many, many years... a very, very, dirty job that he could no longer stand to work in.)

On the subject of horses...I saw a program one night on New York when it was all horses.  Cops wagons were pulled by horses, as were fire trucks and ambulances.  Individuals rode places on them etc.

End result...the city was filthier, more polluted and unhealthier than it is today.

Hock, next time we hook up I'll tell you some insider stories about Gore from my USSS buds.

Therre's no question that things need to be done to clean stuff up. But the "sky is falling" attitude of some HUTB people ( now to be known as Head Up The Butt) is just so much crap. I would love to see an electric car that would go 150 miles per charge, with a twin turbo bio-diesel.
But the other problem with all of the alternative fuel is also an issue. How does the electricity get produced to charge the cars? Sometimes the act of production is more of a polluter than the current crop of cars.
But until they make it so that it becomes either a law or it doesn't become an inconvenience for the average idiot, aint zippo gonna change. Corn based ethanol takes 1.5 gallons to produce the same energy as 1 gallon of gas. So it is not as efficient. And Hydrogen? Just think of the average fat chick, double quarter pounder in hand, chocolate shake in the other, zooming around text messaging other land manatees with 15 gallons of compressed hydrogen on board. Makes my grey hair stand on end. And now since so much corn is going to produce ethanol, this could and will lead to increases in prices for goods that are produced from corn. So it becomes another circle jerk/cluster fuck.
So what is the average American to do? Well here's the answer fair readers! Start drinking. Do it now! Pretty soon they will take away hops for decent beer and the only thing left will be Schlitz and PBR. Oh the Horror!
And just think of the uproar that will occur in Jolly Old when they start using peanut oil for fuel. Old Bri will have a stroke when they take away his "special" Jiff. Then it will be yellow dye for fuel. And there goes the 'spiffy" yellow vest and jackets. His whole identity is now gone and he'll never come down from his fence post.
Stick with purple! Works for Superheros like Kentbob, will work for you too!
Coming Soon! New pictures of the Uncel Nicky approved Roo Carrier!
