Having serioulsy reviewed those old FMA video tapes a while back...they are really substandard to the material that has evolved on the Training Mission (TM) Series.
Every tactic is taught better, is more organized and enhanced by newer TM methods. There was just no way I could de-evolve back and re-release that set of old material. Just one example, I have learned many joint lock escapes. They are not on the 1990s films, but are on the TMs. It is not fair for people to buy those old, incomplete films.
I feel uncomfortable doing a lot the FMA knife material for a variety of reasons, while my Knife/Couter-Knife course is available. I do not have to adhere to the over preponderence of drills and other reasons.
And, I am just not interested in developing stick vs. stick fighters as any kind of priority. Two people fighting with sticks, co-incidentally both having 28" sticks, is a very unlikely, real world event. (even in the Philippines, the sticks are often symbols for machettes).
My goal is create experts who can strike, block and grapple with any impact weapons versus any other weapon (and maybe a stick too) as well as unarmed people.
Those old FMA video tapes (some 12 or more years old) are very centered on stick vs. stick material, plus intersperced with these other hand, knife materials I feel taught not as well as I can now.
Well...the TM series is just far superior.
I just can't bring myself to re-release all that old stuff.
