Hi Nick,
I understood survived to Sue ,but in the UK can you Sue?

I ask as I did not think you could Sue any Goverment agency (Police ,Military) in the UK for actions or lack of actions in an incident.

If this is true and this Female PO ,during a High risk incident is unable to draw, load, rack and fire, can the surivivors initiate a Suit?

In the mistaken Identity shooting of the suspected Terrorist at the Stockwell tube station in London I do not believe any Suit took place ,just Sorries all round and we will not be doing that again anytime soon.

Law suits would be Great to control mistakes, like this Female PO,after an incident, but we see that apparently it is a problem in the UK Met Armed units and their solution is a bad decision that they probably do not fear the consequences of.

Jim, the answer to your question is you can only sue somebody if you are an Iraqi who got shot by British Military in war time???  Oddly, this guy from Iraq received compensation while sadly the UK shits on its' own troops.

That is a slap in the Face to the Men and Women who lift their hands, swear Allegiance and go off to do the bidding of their country.

I post on British Military sites and the stories are hard to believe.
Single men, getting out of the Service having their flats/apts taken and being made Homeless.
Failure of the National Health and or Military to care for their injuries or PTSD.
(then you read this stuff)

Instead of severing the Iraqis spine they should have made sure to severe his head from his body.

I suppose once this Iraqi got the settlement he stayed on in Britain for Medical Care/National Health,Housing and keeps his money in the bank.
(what a Joke)
