Classic case of having your chin up in the air, and no head movement.

Supposedly, MMA practitioners learn boxing...yet I have seen very few of them slip a punch, duck, or bob 'n' weave. They just stand in front of each other like Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots.

I've wondered that myself & have come to the conclusion that no one wants to take aknee or low kick when they move.

If you slip right, you won't take a knee. If he kicks on the same side as your slip, you are in a good position to jam that kick.

I had a wanna be cage fighter tell me that if I slip his punch, I'm susceptable to being taken down. I called bullshit. After 5 or 6 times in a row of me slipping his punch and taking his back, he conceded that I was right.

I just think it's down to the lowest common denominator. Learning good boxing skills takes too long, and these guys just want to get in the ring and fight.
