Your members, your Mods, your Admin and yourself attacked this concept, with gusto.  You did the same to Geoff Thompson during that same period of time.  And none of you had seen any of it at all.... barring one person who said that he'd seen someone who learned it from someone unoffifically do it.... Doh!

One of your "well respected" guys was even going to get the tape and study it.  He even made an enquiry... but never sent the money.

But this was one of your top guys!  Everyone gushed about how they'd go by his opinion.  He seems to have left the site under mysterious circumstances now... yet more evidence of the credibility of Bullshido.

But now the excuse is that it was not part of some official "investigation?"  What nonsense.

You would have been best advised to say "We got it wrong" and move on.  The amount of twisting and turning you're doing here is pretty laughable.

Ah, you are still sore about DRD.  Yes, you and he had a side arrangement for him to review the Shredder, and you've written that he didn't follow through on his side of the bargain.  Subsequently after a big fight with other staff members he left Bullshido and hasn't been back.  That was in the Winter or Spring of 2004.

I'd ask the readers to forgive me for not discussing what happened, it could take pages, and our understanding with him was that we wouldn't go into the particulars.  However supporting members of our website can read some of the old threads, in our "Black Belt Club" (yes its a name based on satire) so if anyone wants the full details you can dig them out there.  I can say however that none of the rest of our staff at the time were participating in this exchange. 

I've been a staff member since August 2004, and while I've seen people make fun of the Shredder I haven't seen staff members make fun of Geoff Thompson's work unless you are referring to some thread from four years ago.

And yes, people say a lot of things on Bullshido, It only gets to the level of an official bullshido.net endorsed position when an a formal investigation is written and posted on Bullshido.com, our sister site.  Funny, I never remember Richard or Geoff being a target of an investigation.

Without seeing Richard's shredder tape I can't conclusively say he got it "wrong", but the account of one poster who trained with a shredder adherent did raise questions, and Richard's marketing has never been particularly subtle.

But here's an offer for you to reject.  We have a number of committed members in the UK, I would be happy to try to arrange a meeting where you could teach this technique to them and they could then post their opinions on Bullshido.net  I bet you'll refuse the offer

As an aside, I always think it cowardly when someone tries to engage another person into some kind of pissing contest with a third person.  It's along the lines of 2I'm getting my brother onto you," and is in keeping with your current level of maturity and credibility.

I have met up with people on the internet to explore the validity of fighting concepts, and have done it behind closed doors.  One of those occasions is now infamous as the other guy, against our gentleman's privacy agreement, decided to post a totally inaccurate version of what happened.  Luckily we emerged from our little session into a filled training area, where many people saw him bleeding like a stuck pig.

And I'm not sore about anything.  Just mildly amused at Bullshido's pretentious pomposity.

You've just lost me.  Though it appears you were interpreting my offer to set up a teaching session with some of our UK members as some grudge match.  I thought it would be the fastest way for our members to learn why you advocate for the Shredder and get to see how this technique is taught, set up, and used from someone with actual experience using it in multiple fights.  I was not advocating more then a training session but you seemed to be expecting something more.

You say Bullshido lacks credibility and bring up what people said about the shredder so when I offer a good faith opportunity to remedy this, you say that the credibility issue is independant of the discussion of the shredder and reject this offer.

As a board which does not pre-screen posts, we do have plenty of bad posts.  The goal is for bad information to be challenged by other posters.  It doesn't work perfectly, but if one reads through an entire thread, (except for the ones in the Trollshido and YMAS forums) the collective voices of reason will usually outweigh the idiots.  Our best, and most credible material is usually presented as articles, including those posted on Bullshido.com

Should you now want to genuinely research the Shredder, why not go to a Senshido Affiliate?  They are in this country and the US, as well as other areas.  Pop onto their site to find out more.  And, unlike myself, they are qalified instructors in the tool, so your "research" will be more meaningful.  Personally I'm not here to validate the Shredder, I'm here to point out the hypocracy of Bullshido.
