Working the Knife Passing Module
« on: August 21, 2008, 12:18:21 PM »

We worked extensively last night on passing the knife (knife vs knife). After passing drills we moved on to combat scenarios. There were a few great take-downs that seemed to always be there; however, it was a little challenging with one hand holding a weapon.

Anyone have any references to something in the DVD's I may have forgotten.

We mostly seemed to use the bent arm series of take-downs or the hyper-extension module. Of course the rear take-down and the wheel throw are always there.

Any help is appreciated.

Rear pull- with both the pommel and the blade-no problem.
Leg scoops- having some difficulty, but we'll work it out.
Groin press while stepping on foot- no problem- old school military combatives
Body ram- same as above if you're talking about using the body to re-enforce the pommel to drive the blade into the body after  wrapping or grabbing the arm.

We've been doing a lot of stick training and ground work with the knife lately, so Tank was unsatisfied with our efforts in our last training session while performing the Level 7 knife drills. The combat scenarios will improve with a little time and effort. Just need some more hours in the day and a little patience.

Young ones can be so challenging...(insert heavy sigh here) ;D

Joe,

We've been working the Level One PAC material, but I was going to wait on getting any more PAC DVD's until I could just get the whole package. Hock's package deals are great!

Screw it, I'll go ahead and get the Level Six PAC DVD anyway...mustn't disappoint the young ones! ;D

Thanks for your input.
