Butcher gloves
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:39:02 PM »

Regarding the "butcher gloves" w/ a link in this month's CQC dispatch- I used these at work for many years.  They make a useful training tool as long as you keep these things in mind:

Made of steel &  cut resistant nylon cord= mostly nylon, you can tell there is some steel threading but not much compared w/ the nylon.

Remember they are "cut resistant" not "cut proof".

They are NOT stab proof. You can stick a knife right through them.

You'll want to be sure you have the right size for your hands.

The link is...

...as featured in the October CQC Dispatches...

I found this interesting because:
   a) I was not sure too many knife trainers, military or police know such gloves exist?
   b) they MIGHT have some training applications?
   c) they MIGHT have some mission applications?
