I'm looking forward to this as Virgin Media disconnected Sky from my service last year, but know Richard Branson and Sky have made ammends and Jack is back for the 7th Day!

I love 24, and can't wait for it to start up again.

I do enjoy this fantasy stuff.  But some of those series got pretty dreary.  All those hushed conversations in the CTU offices.... Yawn!

Let's hope Series 7 gets back to the standard of Series 1.

OKAY!
Call me crazy!
But I couldn't even watch one hour of the Jack show.
I'm done.

Right off, the bad guys need that techno guy, right? So they super-crash two cars into his car, to....kidnap him and do techno work? No human can survive that T-bone crash and then the second crash on that propells the guy's car up atop another car?

Then they say, "fix this?"

Hock,

Repeat after me "It's entertainment for the masses, not a show for pros, and not a documentary.  It's entertainment for the masses, not a show for pros, and not a documentary."  (Repeat as necessary during the show to keep blood pressure at normal levels  ;))

Okay, it was a bit unrealistic, but good escapism none the less.  I liked the plot where they bring Tony back as a supposed bad guy.  Of course Jack didn't know Tony wasn't dead because he was kidnapped by the Chinese government shortly after Tony's house was bombed.  Man, this show is turning into Dallas.  I did like the fast paced story line, the good looking FBI chick and Bauer's dry wit.  The classic line was when Jack was brought into the FBI and the government agent with the proverbial stick up his ass says that they are not going to put up with Jack's rouge behavior and Jack quickly replies, "It's a good thing I am not here for a job interview."

I know, I know, It's not dancing with the stars. But it's still better than Desperate Housewives!

Anyway I am out.
Each year I liked it less and less and like other shows.."Lost" and "Heros"...I am just out.
I immediately got the same vibe of that log, drawn out, dark, same old kind of plot. That should and could be covered better in a 4 hour mini-series, or 6 maybe. Of course that loses the whole 24 hour thing. From a production standpoint, the 24 concept was a plot trap from the get-gofor subsequent years.

I don't think I am alone in this as I'll bet the show's ratings are down again this year.

These days I rather channel switch over to "My Name is Earl," you see in THAT show, a guy, for years now....

I like the way they lose a sense of their own time line.

In one sries alive/dead/alive Tony was seriously injured yet.... in just a few hours..... he tapping about on crutches like a spider!

Amazing!

You'd have to see the way he clicked about at speed on the shiny floor.... like a spider on speed.

That's why they have crutches.  The speed makes them have accidents.  Don't you know anything?

First it was blow up dolls, now he has insects on drugs! What will come up next from the mind of Spiff?
Just thinking about it, ol Spiff could have his own show. Instead of 24, it could be 2.4 ( minutes) It could show him going thru his daily hand to hand routine trying to stuff his vinyl collection back into the closet, before he made his way out to the mean street of the local playground and held the merry go round under siege.
