Hey! Whatever it takes!

The article helped to make me realize that, although I've tried to intensify my current training program to make up for the loss of available training time, I had slacked on two key elements that the article addressed: nutrition and rest. I'm traveling a lot these days, with my family in Florida and myself still here in Meridian, and I've just gotten lazy and inconsistent in these two key areas. Although it hasn't seemed to affect my strength (I've actually gotten stronger!), it has affected my overall performance (fatigue, mental acuity, technical performance) to the point where it's very noticeable to me, even if it's not been noticed by my students or training partners yet. Anyway, Big Dawg got back on the program yesterday and is ready for the next big challenge the article addressed: consistency. Only time will tell the tale on that one!

I would probably be classified as a "tire flipper" by most folks, and I love it! That's one of the workouts I've had to give up, but next week will be the first full week I've had to train in eight weeks and I plan on being a tire flippin' fool this coming Monday!
Jimbo will doing a seminar here in Meridian at the end of October, so I have just enough time to get in the kind of shape I want to be in so I can get the most out of that training. Kind of hard to learn anything when all you can think about is your next breath!
Yes; the Big Dawg is pumped-up, psyched-up and motivated! Oorah!
Thanks guys!
