Isreali assault rifle
« on: October 25, 2009, 03:12:54 PM »

While reviewing vidios of the IDF i came across vidio showing a new assault rifle being
developed by the IDF- its called a IMI Tavor 21 rifle-chambered for the NATO round- looks pretty good-maybe the US should look into that for special units-if it is a good wpn

It looks complicated as if straight out of a "Terminator/Robocop/Starship Troopers" flick. Our American soldiers will have to train and qualify on this one. Looks more like a submachine gun than an assault or semiautomatic rifle.

Vic-from what i read it appears that it is designed for urban warfare-i.e. entering buildings, roof top entrance, alley ways,stairways- etc
long range targets probably have a different weapon being employed
