Knives & Leather Jackets

Just to catch everyone up...I'm still in Afghanistan and keeping very busy every day. Thanks for your prayers and fan mail. I'm teaching Muay Thai 3 times a week, and Military Close Quarters Combat every day. You can read my latest article in the new issue of Muay Thaimes magazine were I'm talkig about the Muay Thai training with the Special Forces and the programs on base being taught. The United States Muay Thai Association and Native American League are working with me on several upcoming projects which you will see on their website and online magazine very soon. Friday, I was training and talking with Jay Glazer (NFL on FOX and NFL Sunday). He writes for Fight magazine also and he has a great insight in the UFC community. I'm also currently working on a tactical tomahawk design which will be out by early next year (sold by TOPS). In January, I'll be at the SHOTS convention in Las Vegas promoting my designs. I'm also working with Rex Irae on a leather knife forearm guard which will be available very soon. Here are a couple stories Rex was telling me about that I thought you all might like:

“A leather jacket can make a huge difference in a slash stab fight... if it’s the right leather jacket. I know one kid who got jumped by a crack fiend with a 3 inch blade…he had eighteen 1 inch wide punctures all over his ribcage. It took 2 stitches to close each one. He was wearing a piece of crap leather jacket. Another cat [guy] I know got attacked by a homeless kid...he was very tall and held him off at arm’s length as he threw 20-30 shots at him, cutting his face a few times…but his leather jacket protected him. This kid…he was wearing a good leather jacket, and he was tall. The story goes that three punks were walking around "stomping" under the bride in Portland, Oregon - Burnside Bridge - and there was a verbal exchange between the punks and the homeless kids and he said the kid came at him and he just grabbed his chest, right under the jaw, at the collar line. And the kid couldn’t swing hard enough to get though the jacket. He got tipped in the face a few times with the knife, but they were nicks...tip stabs. 1/8 inch penetrating...then he slammed him on the ground when he got the knife hand under control. So, the inside of the arm is a great target. Right above the elbow on the inside, but the whole inside of the arm was pink. When it happened, he told me that the cops have it on tape, they watched it - so it’s on record somewhere in Portland, Oregon.
