I had a conversation with a friend a few weeks ago that utterly frustrated me since I wanted to talk about body mechanics, good balance, physical trauma and skill in technique.  He wanted to talk about ki, hand positions to release power, flow and meridians.  Of course he hadn't done or personally experienced any of it so we weren't able to test any of it on the spot.

He hasn't found something esoteric enough to start so far.  I think Nick would give him conniptions.

I don't know how or why people buy into that crap. But they do. Must be some sort of brainwashing withing the schools.
I fallowed Remy around allot. And when you did that you would meet Dillman and Wally Jay. I didn't believe Dillmans one touch knockout so I volunteered to be knocked out. Well he slapped me on both sides of the cheek bones while angling upward. It knocked my ass out and I had a headache for about two days. So I do know there is something real with pressure points. They work very well on me. That's why I hate them. Remy told  me  to watch out for Dillman because some of the stuff he did was dangerous. Wally never did any of that and was hard core small circle jujitsu and judo. I would work out with his son Leon Jay also and he was the same way . But know he is doing the no touch knockouts and defense stuff. And I don't understand how Wally Jay can let his son do this stuff. They both have common sense and a life time of experience that contradicts all this bullshit no touch shit. When I would see Dillman he would only do the touch knockouts and pressure points but know the no touch seems to be the big thing. Maybe everyone is just getting to lazy.  WTF  IT DONT WORK

ps: Mark Kline was and is a student of Dillmans and he to knocked me out. Using a  Tia Chi move called the single wip, very common among forms. It F***ing hurt.   He would always choose me because I was a walking road map for presure points. I'm very leen 7% body fat.

Close to 20 years ago I met a Dillman employee at a martial arts business event. We got to talking and he offered to knock me out and revive me. Having not a brain in my head I said "Sure!" So we go outside after the seminar ended. He touched my arm a few times and then punched me in the jaw. I was still fully awake, only now a little pissed that it didn't work and my jaw was sore. He offered to do it again and I declined while refraining from making him a counter-offer.

Snowball, My friend that was with me was the same way. Dillman didn't try it on him, but another higher up instructor tried and it didn't work. Seems like its a hit and miss type of thing. Some people it works on and some it doesn't. All pressure points work on me, its a real pisser too. But the question is can any of it be done in combat or even pressure tested against some one not willing to just stand there and take it. I have never seen any of these guys use it in fight or full contact sparring. But I sure as hell know that the no touch theory wont work anywhere except in the imagination, unless you are a Jedi Knight or Master.

This brings up another interesting effect of being into the combative arts. My friends feel it necessary to introduce me to allot of other weird ass people they meet, that they are intimidated by or afraid of. Not because of size or skill level, but mental manipulation. Some I have met claim to be physic others witches /warlocks, one was a vampire and another had demonic powers and voodoo. But what they all had in common was the ability to talk shit and have a really good deep stare into your eyes while they try there mind crap on you. My defence for this mind control has been and is the good old fashion Bitch Slap. So far it has worked against them all. I'm waiting to try it out on the  up and coming twilight cronies. Cant stand the vampire wona bees.

Reality is fact, when in doubt "Bitch Slap

The thing I love about the famous 'no-touch knockout' stuff, is that even when they 'successfully' demonstrate it  - which I do not believe is ever the case, but I'll humour them to make my point - it takes the 'master' a significant time to pull it off against someone standing motionless.

So a lifetime of study, and you are still left with something that isn't worth a hoot from a tactical point of view even if it works - which again, I don't believe is the case, not ever.

I'll stick to teaching, in about 30 minutes, a good old-fashioned right cross that does the job from the off, against anyone!

The preparation time to throw chi and or the requirement to strike two to three points precisely, and in sequence, in order to make the body feel as if it is in trauma causing it to drop Blood Pressure and causing a knockout/faint is not doable in a Real conflict.

Here is a clip of Leon Jay,(Wally Jay's son), doing a chi throwing demo, and then doing it to scientists.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM_qg5d1YGI

We see that it does not work on the scientist.
Why ?

Well George Dillman then says "It does not work on Non Believers",oh my.
It does not work on those who know how to negate the chi by:
Putting the tongue to the roof of the mouth
Raising your big toes
Raising one big toe and pushing down the other.

The important thing is "It does not work on Non Believers"
That means that it works on students, who have been trained/forced to believe,by being struck over and over until they go down.

We can conclude that it will not work on most of us non believers.
LOL

Stick to learning how to make strikes to workable ,doable, vital points like throat, chin, jaw, eyes, joints.

I threw a chi shot at my harddrive one day, and it broke instantly.
does that count?

or it could have been just one of those microsoft moments that everyone has experienced at one point or another.
 ;D
