Steve, That was my entire point. If you did not have a strong presence at Bullshido their name would never come up here when talking about Sambo. As things stand your relationship to bullshido is relevant to people researching you and your organization.
While its not enough for me to disregard you its enough for me to keep a watchful eye on your actions. You have been involved on threads where you handled yourself professionally but some of the information you presented was used to make personal attacks against those who were supposedly being investigated. In a recent case when you had a member of your own organization prove to be a complete liar, he even admitted it himself, he was handled with kid gloves making it seem you have two standards.
First off Bryan, it just seems you can't let it go and had to go there. Nobody started this thread in relationship to researching my organization or Bullshido. The thread was specifically about me as an instructor and videos. Period. Are you that attention seeking that you need to revive your own petty feuds in a context that did not dictate such a discussion?
This thread was started by a man I consider a friend asking about you. You are the founder and president of the ASA. You are a member, poster, investigator, on a very controversial website that is now being investigated for the very same fraud that it has accused others of for years.
But, since you went there, Regarding bullshido and anything I may or may not have said that was used against people, I will assume you are talking about yourself. And that is the pot calling the kettle black. You put someone and their family at serious risk. About that, I have to say I have always kept pretty much out of your beef with Bullshido, regardless of my presence there and your idiotic behavior. I have offered you more respect than many felt you deserved. And you are NOT a member of my organization. On our forums, you have been respectful (needed to be reigned in at times privately), but never caused a problem at our site. I offered you the same consideration on Bullshido and pretty much steered clear...even while you crossed the line with a good friend of mine. Anything that was said in my forum by me or you that may have been used against you was instigated by you. Your own quotes were used against you here and at Bullshido, as were mine. But, if you recall, you thought my comments to you about your inappropriate desire to start a combat sambo school were fair. So, in that regard, you made your own bed.
As far as I know you only made one public comment about me on bullshido. In your own words you say you "assume" that Im talking about myself. No I was not talking about myself because you have never investigated me and made public comments that others have used as personal attacks against me. Your comments have been used as personal attacks against others but none of that has anything to do with me.
If I wanted a to run a Sambo School I do not need you to do that. I have never stated anywhere that I was a certified Sambo Instructor. In fact I was asking you about "Tests" and "qualifications" and about firearms. I never at anytime suggested anyone sell me any black belts as was suggested with some of those quotes. I asked legitimate questions and you gave legitimate answers, I never had any beef with you on any of that. My only inappropriate desires revolve around impregnating beautiful women, not Sambo.
Reagrding someone who was outed as a liar and even admitted it...from my organization. I can only assume you mean Brandon Quick. Here is the difference, and it is a big one. The shit hit the fan for him BEFORE joining the ASA. Secondly, unlike you HE ADMITTED TO LYING...as you note in your own post here. As you can see I generally give people the benefit of the doubt, as I did with you. I, and the ASA board did so with Brandon because he did come clean, he did try to make ammends, and did come to us after the fact. We gave him a chance, as so far he has lived up to our requests and expectations.
No, I was not making a reference to Brandon Quick. My only posting about him on your site was me defending him as I viewed the drama created about him supposedly claiming to be Special Forces was bullshit. Did I not shut down the entire thread with one single post ending the matter? As far as him falling out with Eddie none of that has anything to do with me, its between him and Eddie.
My reference was to the crackhead you had on your board that changed his name and pretended he was a Russian Sambo players son. If you guys are big buddies that's on you but you need to think about how your handling things. You guys get on bullshido and try to drive people out of business and even had that one guy in Austin in the hospital on suicide watch, then laughed about it. Then you get a whale of a fake inside your own wire and you cover up the mess, no scathing investigation, silence, cause its your buddy.
Back to Sambo, I believe there was a window of opportunity for Sambo to take off in America and I also believe you were ahead of the curve with grappling. unfortunately many things have happened in America and around the world that have closed that window. Sambo is relevant and your organisation seems to be taking care of business but the entire Olympics fiasco has pretty much killed off any chance Sambo ever had of growing into anything bigger than it is now outside of Russia. In fact the growth seems to be finished now and I'm seeing more leg locks in Jiu Jitsu but hearing less than ever about Sambo.
Maybe if another Fedor swims the oceans to American MMA there will be a renewed interest in Sambo.
Regarding sambo politics and stature. I am not even going to bother explaining things to you. You really have no idea what you are talking about. You are not in the sambo scene in the US, or internationally, not involved in sambo in any credible way and never have been, have never trained sambo in any credible way, and generally lack the needed knowledge and relationships to even make such an assessment. Besides the fact that you are dead wrong about sambo's growth (or decline as you feel) and your assumption that thoughts of olympic glory are ubiquitous in the sambo world.
Actually I know plenty about Sambo Politics. I have been an insider into what was going on with it from Asia to the United States. I like Sambo and don't have any criticism for Sambo as a Combat Sport. To bad its been the victim of politicians and big ideas instead of just being sent to the fields like a mule and plow to work hard without any distractions. I always thought you and ASA were heading in a good direction.
Now, let's try to stay on topic and not trash another thread.
I didn't view any of my writing about you as negative, only fair. It is bizarre to have you say something like "stay on topic" after you made incorrect assumptions about me. Next time if you don't know exactly what I'm talk about don't assume anything, send me an email.
