One of my students today is a helo pilot in the Army- She just returmed from Afganistan and so far she never has had any army combatatives training-so she really enjoyed my cqc  class-

It's great to hear that the Combatives training keeps evolving along with the changing threats. My experience with Army aviators was that there was not a lot of emphasis on Combatives and H2H. I tried to get a CQC study group organized at Fort Rucker circa 2003 but -- pardon the pun -- it never got off the ground.

Tansau-yes its hard to get something going unless you have a inside track-civilian or in the service its the same.
I am fortunate as the lead instructor for army combatatives at ft campbell is a good friend of mine and i use his gym. He told me that he is waiting to be invited to quantico to take the basic MCMAP program-hope he gets it.
The vidios that were shown here are pretty advanced- the instuctors in the vidio are pretty good-plus the Marine Corps is well know for its training and something like UFC fighters comming there is a real plus for the Corps. They would not put novices in there with professional UFC fighters. I liked when they went on the mat and the fighters worked with them on tactics for the mat. If you ever get to the MC museum go though it-it is a story of heros -courage and valor was and is a common occurance.
(Same for the other services)
