Gun Crime London Date line 1908
« on: January 13, 2011, 07:15:29 AM »

Nothing is new : 29.Apr.1908 a gang fight between the Globe St Boy's and The Bow Boy's ( about 25 people in all ) ended with two of the guy's shot in the leg's with a revolver by 17yr old lad. In court he said he had bought the gun for 3 Shilling's. The Silver Hachet gang fought The Canonbury Boys on the 10th June they managed to shoot one of there own in the leg. More careless shooting took place on 26th June one of The Somers Town gang attempted to kill his girlfriend, but missed his aim and shot passer by Sarah Dodd in the arm while she walked down the Caledonian Rd holding her son's hand. The Recorder at the Central Criminal Court bemoaned the fact that gun's were sold to young lads. Harry Jarvis ( the shooter in the Dodd case ) was sentenced to 9 mts of hard labour.
