Puffy Jackets Save Lives

Hock always stresses that what a person is wearing can have direct bearing on how effective an edged (or pointed) weapon attack is. See the link for proof:   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/puffy-jacket-saves-man-from-being-stabbed-to-death/

Lucky Guy,

You are right that what Hock has said about clothing can have a positive impact on survivability. A friend of mine received multiple stabs in the chest and stomach, however everytime the knife hit at an angle his t-shirt/sweatshirt combo gathered up the point and difflected the stab. It was only the straight 90 degree hits that punctured. Needless to say his continued fighting saved his life to make these observations later.
