Do kid's think knife fighting is a game ?
« on: January 19, 2011, 08:18:07 PM »

In a court case this week in London, we hear of the murder of a 16yr old boy knifed in the heart after being '' hounded down '' by a gang of other kid's ranging from 14 to 17.
He was playing in the Home Park Sydenham, on his push bike with his mates and his 14yr old girlfriend. Then he got a phone call to say that the SG Gang ( Shanks & Guns ) where in the park confronting the Sydenham Boyz. He told his mates and girl to wait at his Mum's house and he'd be back soon and pedaled off to get involved. He became isolated and bleed out in a takeaway shop door way. It made page 8 of the local paper, did not make the local or national news. It's just run of the mill now. Is it peer pressure, showing off, bad parenting, emotional immaturity, was it an adrenaline rush ? These kid's are playing a game that's not a game. They just won't stop playing. All the kid's who attacked him are on trail. It's joint venture so they will all go down for murder. Ruined lives, for everyone involved. It's getting worse.

Hi WW,
Overall Crime Stat's for England & Wales are down but Knife Crime ( especially in Scotland ) is on a record five year high. Thousands of people stabbed in Scotland last year, One Hospital reported 700 knife injuries, there was 35 knife murders ( there's a big difference there, the health service and hospital's are top draw and deal with knife wounds every day so it keeps the murder rate down ). Also alot of the knife wounds North of the Border are slashes to the face. The victim gets a ' Mars Bar ' = Big Scar. There's approx 45 knife crimes per month in Lothion alone. Recent cases : (Oct 2010) Three men in there 20's surrounded by a youth gang in Glasgow ( they said or did sometime that offended these kid's ) they where all stabbed. (Nov 2010) Guy stabbed 23 times and hit over the head with a bottle as he lay dieing in the street in Hamilton. (Jan 2011)Cop's lunch campaign to send text messages to kid's telling them not to carry. Check out 'Neds' on You Tube.
