Old Police Baton Film! Great!
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:03:08 PM »

Now I am not this old, but this training film is the course I learned in the military police academy and some in the Texas police academy.

Quite a difference than today's programs.

But this film is fun to watch no matter what!

(about 98% of this stuff in my SDMS course. There were one or two funky things I saw in
 there I would never show.)

Looks like most of the things we train.

Reminds me of Riot Traing in 1981. Loved it.

I like the Converse high tops - memories of a no-nonsense era.

My dad still has his night stick and billy (rubber around steel) and used to show me some of the moves. Back in the day he said he would always have it in hand when on patrol and it usually made most tough guys back off and was a ready close in weapon if needed. Times change I guess.

I mentioned this training film in Libertyville seminar last weekend and wanted to bing it back to the top...
