I would say real, because people naturally flail around trying to catch their balance and stiffen up when they're falling.  If you watch, he falls and lands pretty bonelessly, which is extremely hard to do when you know you're going to land on a flat surface.

No Marine enlisted man would ever live down being called a Thespian!

Thespian...does that come under the "Don't ask.  Don't tell." policy?

Tweeeeeeet! Flag on the play!

What is a f***(^ken thespian anyway-Just call us jar heads and leave it at that-as for the dingbat who let him self be chopped-must have been a remington raider.

Improper use of the "F" bomb! When using special characters to symbolize "F" bomb usage, the proper number of characters must be used:

"You've gotta be f***king kidding me!"
"Unf&^*ingbelieveable!"

Creative use of the "F" bomb is encouraged, however, the proper number of substitute characters must be used to ensure other forum members have some kind of idea as to WTF you're saying.

Penalty on the play:
WW receives a neck chop from a Thespian.

BTW, I believe Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson qualifies as a Thespian.

Just sayin'! ;D

THAT'S the best advice I've gotten all day. Gotta wait 'till I get done teaching tonight to make that happen. Lookin' forward to it!

I'm supposed to have some Marines show up for some Western boxing training tonight; maybe I can work in a neck chop or two (I'll let you know if they fall out like the dude in the video!).  ;)

He nailed the target.  I like to hit that spot with my forarm.  Even a tiny effort and a little bit of forward motion with forarm to the spot right there...below the jawbone, in the softspot will cause poeple to see spots, and even get jolted into the dark.  It didn't look like he hit im too hard, but it was enough i think.  I don't think he was acting.  I've been dropped by a light hit to the neck there.

When you're trying to chop down a large tree with a little axe, getting on someone's shoulders just ain't gonna help that much...you've STILL just got a little axe! ;)
But, I DO admire your spirit!

I'm with Mr. Barnett; I much prefer a forearm strike to the neck than a knife hand. I use shuto's and ridgehands to the thoat, but forearms and hammerfists to the neck.

Seemed to work this time for the Marine, so...whatever tool gets the job done is fine by me.

I hit a car jacker one night in the side of the neck two times. Powerful shots. Didn't knock him out...well, that's another story I tell in seminars...too long to write out here...

Striking the neck I prefer the forearms. Maybe if the opportunity is there I'll punch the neck. What do you guys use for the neck as a target?

I train hammerfists to the neck, or maybe a backhand chop.  Rarely ever do forehand strikes...maybe I should practice that a bit more.

I show the student the neck and point at a point midway between  the ear lobe and the shoulder blade for a target-use of hammer fist or forearm as stated here=or=while pulling side of head to one side throw   elbow strike to same area so head and elbow collide.
Lots of possible techinques to practise. Again-as a fight progresses very fast simple quick
powerful movents are needed-no fancy stuff.
