In reading this account, we must keep into consideration that this is anecdotal, i.e, subjective, in its reflection.  It is a single soul's account.  There are those who receive gunshot wounds in the killing fields of warfare who don't even realize they are shot until a TEAM-MATE retorts, "Hey, Andy, you shot?"  Then there is the operator who just took out an enemy insurgent in bad-breath range, covered in blood, and when the TEAM medic inspects him, finds he has 14 knife wounds--punctures and slashes to various aspects of his body--all of which heal up nicely.  When asked during the AAR what occurred, this member merely reflects that we crashed and rolled around a bit.  "The insurgent kept hitting me, until I finally wrestled my blade out to 'saw' half his neck off.  That's when I realized he had a sharpened AK bayonet in his left hand.  Thought I better tell 'Doc' and have him check me out."

It's always about 'subjective relativity,' and what we are accustomed to managing.
