The MAC 10 machine pistol, nicknamed the Big Mac is apparently becoming the weapon of choice for drug dealers and criminals across the UK.  This gun, which can fire 1200 rounds per minute (that’s 20 rounds per second) is said to be on the increase replacing the poor converted replicas that have been so widespread in the UK in the past years.  They are being smuggled in from Eastern Europe and sold to gangsters for as little as £500.  Gun crime is definitely on the rise in the UK.  Last year there were 10,340 offences- double the amount since 1997!

this is exactly the type of situation that happens when governments run amuck and take away the right of private citizens to own and carry a weapon. Just look at the history of Britian, followed by Australia and Canada, and you can rest assured that I will remain right here in the heart of Texas!
Now Kerry wants you to believe that he will wipe out terrorism. Screw him. Give me my 45 and my thompson, and I'll save my own ass.

I couldn’t agree with you more.  The problem is also exasperated by Britain having an “open door” policy to everybody, their brothers and the kitchen sink.  You guys in the USA are painted a different picture of Blair.  He’s great on foreign policy, but for some unknown reason really sucks at home.  Many of my Police connections have confirmed that the high crime rise has been greatly influenced by the influx of Eastern Europeans.  Already in holiday resorts in Spain trained Eastern European ex-special forces teams are performing home invasions on the rich for high ransoms.  It’s only a matter of time before that starts happening in the UK.
