Thankfully there seemed to be no head contact allowed.  But I feel the "adults" staging the event should be locked up.  Those boys aren't old enough to be subjected to something like that.

Ahh.... a little good ol' rough and tumble... no worse than a clean schoolyard fight of days gone by or some backyard brawling between buddies over a gal.

While the punching was pretty bad, the kids looked pretty good otherwise all things considered. If we will let them box (I know a 9 year old - Dusty Harrison -  with 105 fights... Nat'l junior olympic USA Boxing champion in his weight/age class), wrassle, and do Judo, then why not let them mix them all together under adult supervision?

If I remember right from my old Judo days, they had randori rules that were something like "no chokes under 12 years old and no joint locks under 14 years old" or something like that.  My only concern with this video is the potential for serious injury from a joint crank with long lasting effects.  I know of people who have torn ACLs from heel hooks, had elbows hyperextended, etc.  I have no problem with the striking and vying for position, but I would be hesitant with the free application of joint cranks at that age.  All it takes is one kid who gets a little to excited and applies a lock too fast...

But those two guys now have more fighting experience than a lot of martial arts instructors out there right now...
