Title: Scott Bolan
Post by: Hock on November 05, 2009, 09:44:12 AM
I get some pretty frequent emails about this.

I've never had a student named Scott Bolan. Apparently there are some pretty strange ads out there of his and then on his webpage he claims to be handpicked close quarter combat instructor under me?

Big Kahuna,

This is a quote from Mr. Bolan's website:

At the National Law Enforcement Institute Mr. Bolan was certified as an Advanced Close Quarter Combatives Group Instructor. "CQC Group Instructors" are Hock Hochheim's handpicked, highest trained, tested and certified Instructors in all 6 levels of each Close Quarter Combatives category: Hand, Stick, Knife and Gun.

I did a quick browse through a couple of other pages. My B.S. meter was screaming from a stress overload, so I had to stop.

I was wondering at what level of training were you going to share all the mind control stuff?  ::)

I just Googled his name to find his web page. I think you'd remember this guy if you'd even trained with him once, much less certified him as a CQCG instructor. I guess you know you've arrived when you start getting "posers"? Maybe he at least bought a T-shirt from you!

You know who he is. I don't know his last name, but his first name is Andrew if I remember correctly.  He was a student of yours for a while and also studied with Vunak and Burt Richardson.  I guess he has changed his name to in an attempt to remain anonymous.

Joe

I remember that turd. He came to our very first CQCG Camp in Sacramento. We were still in the Racquetball Court.

And of course, as always, with everyone, we await his public reply to debate or dispute any and all of this. We also await anyone, anywhere who wishes to speak on his behalf!

The floor is open.

What is the Arnold rate for life mastery? I'm interested.

Plus...do you get a copy of the Secret book of Secrets?

"I did a quick browse through a couple of other pages. My B.S. meter was screaming from a stress overload, so I had to stop."

The above is an observation I made back in November of 2009; still holds true today. Same website, different look, same B.S.

Total life mastery?! 1450 per hour?! This fuckhead is in dreamland

What is the Arnold rate for life mastery? I'm interested.

As usual, Milldog (I'm sorry, Ashtowan) gets right to the heart of the matter:
What do I have to do to get a copy the :
Secret Book of Secrets?

That's worth some freakin' coin...this guy is just a waste of time.

Looks like someone spent an ass-load of money on Tony Robbins and NLP training...

Fair enough!

Wish you the best on your tripto Seattle; keep me posted.

Planning a trip down your way this Spring. Lots of good folks down there I'd like to meet up with again.

"B & B"; add another "B" for some bourbon and it's an unbeatable combo!

I always wondered how many days per year the NLP seminar guys like this actually work per year.  It's all about the pitch, basic psychology, and playing word games.  One of the NLP founders was a linguist, after all.

The nice thing about a martial arts tie-in is that he's already marketing to people who want to be more powerful, and must feel powerless to some extent.

People always ask about the pricing at our school.  I've started answering "it comes out to about $14 per hour for members."  I might be off by a factor of 10.  I just need to put up a white board, and teach some life mastery at the end of class...I think I'll start saying $1450.  When people respond "per year?!?!," I'll say "no, per HOUR.  Any other questions?"   ;D

I start getting really suspicious when guys have all this training in their description, but have never run a successful school, organization, aren't on the martial arts seminar circuit, and don't have a network of guys who vouch for them.
