Title: Contact pistol threats and gun jams...

Contact Pistol Threats and ...gun jams?
I know it is surprising and shocking to hear. It still happens. This month I heard about a police officer in the mid-west United States, a 5-year veteran, graduate of a PPCT course, numerous schools and academies, who believed that if a suspect pointed a pistol at his chest or stomach at point blank range, he should grab the gun and gun-hand and pull the barrel into his own chest. He says this would…"prevent the pistol from firing."

Still a very risky technique in my book. I'd rather be safe and get out of the line of fire first before attempting a disarm technique.

Hi Vic.
Risly technique?
If a bullet is loaded @ you grab the barrel @ the guy holding the gun pulls the trigger.
The gun will still discharge. It might not recycle but fire.
