It all works well :
If one knows how to tighten the muscles to accept the strike
If one knows what strike is being delivered
If one knows they have time to prepare
If the attacker strikes on cue
This all makes a Great demo.

The downside is one cannot fight in the tensed up mode with constant exhalation.
Just wait for the person to take a breath and strike on the inhalation and drop them.

As said  by Ryan, it is a trick, which when trained for can be done by almost anyone

You can see many clips of ki energy usage on youtube.

There was a good clip of a Ki master who said he could take the blow of a machete.
The clip showed him breathing, licking the blade and then he said he was ready put his arm to the log, hacked his forearm and almost severed his arm off, lol.
Great stuff.
(some people end up actually believing this stuff works and end up injured or dead)

"take the blow of a machete" - I remember Hock describing that clip at his course in Norwich UK a few years ago.

I'm all for 'natural selection' and collateral damage - shame he didn't try it on his neck  ::)
