Silent Reloads
« on: June 03, 2009, 07:32:06 AM »

Can you silently reload your handgun? Your sub gun? Your long gun?

Think about how important that can be, and how little, if any, that is practiced.

Hey Hock,

we trained this topic month ago... It's hard to be silent in combat and under stress.
The biggest problem is to reload a shotgun.

Take care,
Joe

easier with a revolver than an auto. Practiced last night with dummy ammunition. The type they would issue to BS, if he had a place to put it besides inside the basket of his Girlie Bike

And it's also easier to do a tactical reload - so you have only to change the magazine  :D

Silent:  no.     no importance.   already loaded -- safety off and bang.

Quietly: yes.   safety off quietly and bang

Quietly and Quick: very difficult.  If you have to be quick, very little reason for quiet but a little gun maintenance make the tick of safety reasonable.

I have a longbow that is silent to load and reload.  ;)
