LRRP? I thought that was a Ranger thing, long range recon patrol right? I thought only the Rangers had them...live and learn I guess

Prior to 1969 most LRRP members were not trained Rangers,some/few ,were.
Many were trained On The Job,while some attended MACV Recondo school.

Many US Marines who served in Vietnam as Recon/Force Recon were also trained On The Job.

I know a few LRRPs who served with the 101st and the 173rd who were not school trained LRRPs.
I know a few US Marines who Volunteered and or were Volunteered into Recon and Force Recon units who were not school trained.

As far as Mike Echanis:
He is said to have been Airborne qualified.
If he was a member of an Airborne unit he may have been a LRRP,but records do not show any form of LRRP school training and we know he was not a Graduate of Ranger school,but he COULD/MAY still have been a LRRP.
This is why I put LRRP ??

Not all LRRPs ran Spec Ops direct action missions,some were just the eyes and ears of their respective commanders.

1930's US becomes interested in paranormal activities in regards to warfare.
1940's to 1970's US reseraches ESP and more importantly the use of remote viewing.
1972 to 1999 the US government develops remote viewers and they are used by all US agencies.
The US government puts in over 22 Million dollars to around a dozen remote viewers.

Guy Savelli was hired by the US Government to teach Psychic development to Special Forces members to allow them to be able to have more self control,to push beyond normal boundries of fatigue, to block out injuries and to enhance combat effectiveness.
This included the use of mind training to control and or kill the enemy through mind power.
Mr Savelli was contracted from the early/mid 1980's to and through 2000's to help develop certain skills.
(if it was just the ability to deveolp chi and mind development in combat,I doubt the Army would have needed to continue the contract for 20 years)

In a quick search I found this statement BY MR SAVELLI to a reporter:

"According to Savelli, who really does run a dance studio, he did down a goat in this manner. He made one goat collapse by thinking strongly about it, and apparently killed another, goat #17 (out of 30) by accident while trying to kill goat #16 on purpose." 
(it was not just 1 goat in a room hooked up to an EKG.)

Mr Savelli also had video of his downing the family hamster.

Mr Savelli aslo claims to have ,in 1 day,taught an officer to use the death touch and  the officer then used that death touch on a Goat and the goat died,an autopsy ,supposedly,showed the internal organs were expolded.

They are telling them how to develop the ability to relax,build energy and PROJECT that energy.

Mr Savelli just did not do the experiment with the goat and the Army not try to develop a way to have others attempt to develop that same skill of energy projection toward an enemy.

Its premeire is this week in Australia, and I saw it.

Watched it with an open mind. Laughed out loud a few times. It is a loose movie baed on a loose book.

In a way, reminded me of the movie MASH.
