By accident i found a couple african martial art vidios-what is very interesting is -forget the dance movements -if you look at the demos of the actual strikes they are very fast and appear dangerous to the opponent
look for =empty hands-kilindi-part 2 on the vidios

I think Panther Productions used to have a similar series of African martial arts, as they are also called "Tamerrian martial arts". From history on down, the Zulus have used it to brutal effectiveness.

Some of the African martial arts methods may have also been modified and passed down to other systems from its root, such as Capoeira and Jailhouse Fighting as used by a lot of the African American prisoners.

Vic-thanks-what is interesting to me is that many western instructors fail to reolize that there are other styles then they teach in the world. The word you used "brutal" is a good one.

As i continue looking into cqc tactics i see the more i review various styles it comes down to the more simple and fast the tactic is the more it may incapacitate the opponent.

I also see that we are going in a circle as far as cqc tactics is concerned-weither we like it or not the WWII era of tactics seem to be poppng up more and more-which i personally think is the right way to go.

take tactics from kempo-KM-BJJ-boxing-judo-muy tai-knifefighting-mix them up and use what will stop the opponent-get instructors to think outside the box-

what do you guys out there think??  WW (ELB) "speed of light"

My last Kung Fu instructor thought my approach was too crude, brutal, and aggressive. He tried to teach me some refinement and did improve me a lot. But he got frustrated because he could never change my fighting first, art second approach to training. But I was a very small kid who got in a lot of fights growing up on the edge of Washington DC in the 1960s, and I could not ever forget that the reason I started Parker Kenpo 30 years ago was was to keep from getting my ass kicked.

Its great to look good winning fights, but I would rather win ugly than lose with style...

the weapon is illegal now -but the info said the police still carry it- the article also said they are made of plastic also and threaded up a sleeve and around doen the other arm-when pulled out it will be vicious. ww
