Zulu fighting
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:29:29 PM »

As i was searching the you tube i cam accross a vidio showing zulu/kaili stick fighting=
in the zulu portion it discribes how the attacker is holding in the left hand a long stick with a shield over his hand to protect against a strike- in the right hand he holds a stick with a round piece on the end- he swings the right hand like he was throwing a side arm pitch and as he gets close to the opponents stick he he uses his wrist motion to go over and stright  down or at slight angle hitting the opponent- very interesting tactic- any one ever see that tactic??-do you think that would work using a knife=?? I would guess that this is a technique for using a spear or assegai.  I would also say ask the British if it would work.   ;D

The history of Shaka Zulu covers his innovative tribe-versus-tribe tactics. This inlcuded.
We covered this in an article in CQC Magazine...

Its a free download, but...I can't remember which issue!

The Victorian soldiers spoke highly of Zulu bravery and feared the spears and club's for good reason. They had some serious problems with the Maori's for the same reason's.
