Training question on sparring
« on: June 02, 2010, 06:13:03 AM »

Hi guys

I'm thinking some combat scenarios and so on. One of my training partners likes to spar but this is nothing more than a boxing match, is there any value in this or should we concentrate on combat scenarios? And which ones?

Nel-without going into a lot of detail search the back posts here on the forum under unarmed combat/business for instructors and others-their are a lot of ideas being and have been presented for your question.

As far a sparring-their is a lot to say for that because without actual hands on between students it is only lip service-its like doing a kata and swinging at the wind-all has a place but coontact is needed ass it to your training sylabus. You need a trainer who knows the style and can correct faults.....
