Oh no, not the Hwarang Do guys! :o

I have some old HRD tapes and while there are a lot of good techniques there is also a lot of that could be considered questionable.

And of course there's the entire ancient history they try to sell, the Echanis connection, defrocked black belts, etc, and you have something special.

I am just talking about the tactics-dont know or care about the politics at all-if we start looking at complaints about a style-someone  somewhee will pop up and say-------
so if this guy shows some ok tactics try um-might find one that works-

I think if they would have stuck to the topic of counters to joint manipulations that would have been interesting, but they settled into the same old head lock counters. I would have liked to see some counters that didn't involve more joint locks, which seems like you are playing into the other guy's own game.

Noload- agree-the vast majority of the students i get who only take 2 classes a week are not physically or able to do fancy movements- so we stick to basics  and review  them a lot- i.e.  wall attack , ATM attack, entering or exiting a car-waiting for a bus-breaking through a crowd- etc.....
If they attempt fancy complicated joint  locks while the attacker in class resists it does not work a  lot of times- we teach to respnd by attaacking till they are in control and leave if possible.   R/S WW
