People are always an amazement. There's so many tales of people walking about with bullets, lumps of metal in there heads & bodies etc. Sometimes for years and years after the incident. In some cases alcohol plays a factor, they get stabbed while blind drunk and forget what happened. I recall as a nurse in East London we had a guy with serious stab wounds in his back he brought his buddy into the A&E because he had been beaten and slashed, but he himself was totally unaware of his own wounds until the Doctor showed him with two mirrors. This guy could not believe he had the injuries. x2 one inch long holes and a flap of skin hanging from a cut that had grazed his ribs. He could not feel them. Anger, the rush and concern for his mate had clouded his thoughts.

I recall watching a documentary about a guy in the States arested for the murder of his wife and kids. All stabbed to death in his home, no sign's of forced entry he's the only other person at home, working in the garage. The Police see the defence wounds on the Mothers hands, the kids butchered. The guy goes to court pleading his innocence. Dr.Micheal Bardon gives evidence. The guy is innocent. It was the Mother, she stabbed the kids to death and then stabbed herself in the heart, her hand slipping down the blade cutting her palms making it look like defence wounds. He walked free from court. I've seen plenty of self-inficted knife wounds, accidents like the kitchen knife in the washing up bowl. Suicide and coping method behaviour which is commonly known as S.I.B self injurious behaviour. Fatal knife wounds where a guy having an LSD trip put a cooks knife right to the hilt in each eye. His Mother came home and found him by the TV, handles sticking out of his eyes. Mostly small to midsized blades. Stabbing was in the back. Slashing was in the face with Stanley knifes as a football hooligan thing and as a gang punishment.
