I have heard and read up on the subject of the OODA loop. But now I would like to get hock's take on this subject. I value his take and knowledge overall the others who discuss this.

OODA. Really overblown, over high-lighted subject.

I mean every sports player does that naturally. You want to fake the opponent out. You fake...there...."boom." OODA loop explained. But without fancy hi-tech terms and an over intricate diagram that resembles a submarine blueprint. So fancy and tech that you forget you knew this from playing tag as a small child.

Some people just salivate over stuff like this. Others not so much.
It was treated that way when introduced in the Air Force by John Boyd in military meetings/slideshows years ago Half the people salivated, the other half said, "what am I doing here?"

It is used all too much, as a "pop" subject, to sound "all in the know" and cool.
